Over the summer our company had our first SoCII Audit. I ended up doing a TON of work for it, my boss pretty much put me in charge of making sure we were ready in many ways. Our entire team worked our butts off for a couple of weeks.
The Audit was the week of August 20th and we not only passed but we got No Exception on over 50 control objectives. Basically we got 100% on Hard Mode. It’s a huge deal. We’re basically rock stars at our little company right now for this. It’s a key thing in making sure we get a few HUGE clients, retaining some that we have an are able to approach more contacts that will hopefully someday be clients now that we have this.
For our work, my boss gave us each a week off that didn’t come out of our PTO AND bonus checks.
Mine was sizable enough to pay for the new tires I had to put on my car yesterday plus the renovations I’m doing to both my bathrooms this weekend. And I mean, not the entire bathrooms, but new wooden vanities, simulated marble countertops, sinks, all the hardware for the faucet stuff (including faucets), towel holder, hand towel holder, tp holder, and wood framed mirror and wood medicine cabinet. Plus we’re going to paint both of them and put a new backspash up, and new toilets. Really looking forward to that. 😀
Later this month my mom and I will be going to visit my new twin niece and nephew that were born in August, plus of course my brother, sis-in-law and other nephew. Coupled with getting to finally meet Molly IRL last month (twice, actually 🙂 ) it’s been a really great couple of months! 2012 has been a fantastic year, actually. Hoping things continue being awesome for a long time. 😀
