Yesterday at work Ryan mentioned that I should go with him to a lunch one of our channel partners and Cisco was holding. Not knowing what I was saying yes to, I came into work today wearing a T-shirt, a hoodie, jeans and sandals.
Turns out it was at the Capital Grille, a very expensive restaurant in Downtown Dallas. It was pretty amazing food, we estimated around $100 a plate, and yeah, you could taste it. Great service, too. I had a green salad, Ribeye sandwich, mashed potatoes, and an amazing fluffy cheesecake dessert.
Also, I won a $400 HD webcam for correctly knowing Young MC’s “Bust a Move”. And listened to our hosts talk about their new Cisco gear for an hour and a half, which was actually pretty interesting.
Next time Ryan mentions going to lunch with one of our partners the next day I’ll dress a little nicer. Also I’ll try not to eat anything the previous day. (I’m still stuffed.)
Not a bad day at work! 🙂
